With apartment construction booming across Brisbane, savvy developers are looking for a point of difference in an increasingly crowded market. One creative solution will shortly grace the skies of Stones Corner: a suspended pool floating 25 metres in the air.
Florence, a 107 apartment development on Flora Street, will be the proud owner of the suspended pool. Something of an engineering feat, the pool is likely to be the first of its kind in Australia once completed, and is most definitely a first for the rapidly evolving Stones Corner precinct.
Conceived as a distinctive means to bridge and integrate the two residential towers, the sky pool will also offer the unique perspective of luxury city views from the water.
Blue Sky Real Estate is behind the ambitious project, which will see the completed Florence development scale eight levels, and will include a rooftop terrace, yoga garden and cinema terrace. With a blend of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and a select number of three-bedroom apartments, the project will no doubt attract a mix of young professionals and families, as well as couples looking to downsize from the traditional family home.
Construction is due to commence in June, with demolition work slated to begin on the site this month.
